Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Ednovum, a school-management platform provided by SamKis Labs (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using Ednovum, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Ednovum on behalf of a school or organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.

1. The service

Ednovum provides tools for schools to manage students, staff, attendance, grades, assessments, finance, lesson planning and reporting. We may update, improve or change features from time to time.

2. Accounts & access

• Accounts are issued to named individuals; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• Keep your password confidential and do not share your login. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
• Access is role-based — you may only access the information your role permits.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you will not:

• access data you are not authorised to access, or attempt to bypass security controls;
• upload unlawful, harmful or infringing content;
• interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service;
• use the service to violate any applicable law or the privacy rights of others.

4. School data & ownership

The school remains the owner of the data it enters (including student and staff records). We process that data on the school’s behalf to provide the service, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell school data.

5. Availability

We aim to keep Ednovumavailable and reliable, but the service is provided on an “as available” basis. We may carry out maintenance and will try to minimise disruption.

6. Intellectual property

Ednovum, including its software, design and content (excluding school data), is owned by SamKis Labs and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our intellectual property beyond the right to use the service.

7. Fees

Where a subscription or fee applies, it will be agreed with your school. Invoices are payable by the due date stated. Continued access may depend on accounts being kept current.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the service or its users. A school may end its use as agreed in its arrangement with us.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Saint Lucia.
